One contact organising everything from supplier to deck

The most cherished feature by our clients is probably the fact that they have one contact person that handles all movements everywhere in the world, from supplier til deck. Combined with a dedicated back up person or two this team may stay with a client for years and develop a close relationship that are cherished by both parties. This is the absolute best way to ensure high quality in operations year after year, and probably the most important reason for the extreme low rate of mistakes within the vessels handled by Trans-it.

New operations manager
Last month revealed a new operations manager at Trans-it. We are very happy to announce that Lars Mikkelsen has taken on the responsibility of our operations department and look forward to develop the department further in the years to come.

 

Trans-it Lounge

In September we arranged The Trans-it Lounge 2016 in Athens, Greece, this time at fashionable Balux in Glyfada. The location is right on the beach and about 100 contacts from our good clients in Greece turned up to make it a memorable evening for all of us. It coincided with a company trip for Trans-it so it was a great opportunity to meet all in Trans-it.

Danish Maritime Days

From october 25th to 27th Danish Maritime Days were arranged in Copenhagen. Trans-it were present with a stand and we are also took part in the debate on a greener shipping. Finally we were responsible for a casual table football tournament every day at lunch.

PIRAEUS FREE ZONE

The first few shipments have started up utilising the possibilities in the Piraeus Free Zone. Again Trans-it are finding new ways of creating unique value for our clients. This time in cooperation with Cosco in the Piraeus port. New legislation have made it possible to obtain full VAT exemption when sending orders via the Piraeus Free Zone. This is a big step forward for Greek shipping and made possible because of our long term relationship with our local partners.

Which warehouse setup?

Different client have differrent requirements to The Warehouse setup. Allthough we generally recomend storing spares where they are produced to avoid double shipping, some clients prefer central hubs. In the latter case Piraeus with its new free zone and extremely flexible warehouse may very well become the preferred hub in Europe for ship owners. Our Piraeus warehouse have standard opening hours from 06:00 til 23:00 and can on short notice open its doors also on weekends and holidays.
