Hub Singapore

Air Freight Export

Intra-Asia major Air Hubs like Shanghai, Hong Kong, Incheon having good capacity to support. Due to the reduced direct passenger flights into other smaller airports and outside of Asia, the capacity continues to be tight and frequent offloading would occur.

While Singapore is currently experiencing low rates of community transmission of COVID-19, local operations like AIR TERMINAL, PORT Operations and onboard deliveries are largely unaffected. Singapore Government is currently managing importation of COVID-19 case. They banned any crew changes within Singapore Water in the past.

With effect from 1 September 2020, MPA (Maritime Port Authority of Singapore) will consider the following circumstances for crew change applications:

  • crew whose employment contract has expired;

  • additional crew on board whose sign-off would not affect the safe manning of the ship;

  • change of crew due to the sale or purchase of ship;

  • personnel who are not part of the ship’s crew such as superintendents and service engineers;

  • compassionate grounds e.g. death of family member; or the crew is no longer medically fit to work onboard the ship.
