To facilitate the growing need to report, analyze and reduce GHG emissions in every process in the shipping industry, we have developed a CO2 emissions tracker to report emissions data on the entire spares supply chain from supplier to deck.

The service provides exact emissions data on all types of transportation, such as airfreight, sea freight, truck, and train. The service can report in detail on shipments, individual items, a vessel or fleet total. The service can even lookup and backtrack data so that comparative numbers can be produced. For clients interested, the data can be presented in the monthly or quarterly management reports or applied in separate co2 reports for individual vessels or a fleet in total.

With complete data over a period, an extensive analysis can be performed and thus implement solutions to reduce the emissions for each transport or vessel/fleet.

At Trans-it, we can gather the needed data, perform analysis, and suggest emissions reduction actions

Key product features:

  • Actual emissions numbers not based on a calculated standard

  • Simple end-of-year reporting – simply click and download the report in the required format for submission to the regulators

  • Includes a full database of individual emissions for each shipment

  • Analytics tool for reduction evaluation

  • Single input template for all reporting mechanisms; identify and report on relevant vessels or fleet

  • Automatically tracks the emissions on all shipments covering all modes

The CO₂ tracker tracks the actual emission of CO₂ on a specific shipment based on distance, weight and mode of transport. Mode of transport is then divided into levels of detail form a industry standard for that mode of transport and down to a detail level of individual vehicle emission numbers, when that info is available. Our analytical matrix can look up emissions numbers from different sources and will always choose the most specific data thus reporting actual numbers as posed to most reporting tools that report on a standard.
